We are due back on September 6th
We hope you all enjoyed your summer holiday. Welcome back to our existing children and their parents and welcome to our new children and their parents that will be joining us. We would also like to welcome Julie who has accepted the position of key worker to the fox group.
Be prepared for the weather!
- Please also ensure your child has a sun hat with them on hot days!
- Please apply Sun cream to your child BEFORE they come to school, as it takes a huge amount of time for staff to apply 24 sets of sun cream.
- Please mark on the sign in register in the morning if your child has had sun cream applied.
- We are not able to use sun cream on your child that does not belong to them, so it is essential that your child brings in their own, with their name on it.
- Please provide wellingtons and a jacket in case of rain as we will still be going outside.
- Please make sure any items that belong to your child are clearly named.

Fees and extra sessions
Fees need to paid every half term.
Invoices will be issued at the beginning of each half term.
If you require extra sessions for January please speak to Tamsin.
Priority will be given to children who are eligible for NEF (Nursery education funding)
Group changes
This term your child may move into a new group, we are jiggling the groups, as the older children have moved on and we are trying to make the groups work better. We will keep you well informed as to if your child has moved or they are staying in their original group. Any queries or concerns please speak to Tamsin or Chris.
This term
This term we will be planning some of our activities around ‘all about me’ along with traditional stories and nursery rhymes. Research suggests that the use of traditional stories and nursery rhymes encourage speech and language in children. We hope you can further their development by having story time and signing at home. Please look out for activities in your child’s box that you can share at home with them.
All about me photo
We will also be sending home pre-schools v tech camera so you are able to take a photo of your family to go on our ‘all about me’ board. When you take the camera home you are responsible for it, if the camera gets broken then you will have to pay for a replacement one. Please take good care of the camera. The camera needs to be back at pre-school the next day so every child will have the opportunity to take it home.
Questionnaire
Thank you for spending time filling in our questionnaire, we have had some positive feedback. Please feel free to browse around when you drop your child off to see what exciting activities we have planned for your child’s day with us. Also please look at the snack board to see what snack has been available to your child that day. The snack board is placed in the entrance hall once snack has finished. We run the digital photo frame in the entrance too so you can see what the children have been doing that week, please have a look.
Please contact us if:
Your child is unwell and is unable to attend their session; this will help us if people are after extra sessions we will then be able to let them know a place is available.
Our wish list
We are short of jigsaw puzzles if you have any spare ones, please think of us.
Are your details up to date?
Please check with Tamsin or Chris that your registration details are up to date.
You may have a new phone number or moved house recently.
Please also check your childs medication form as it may need updating too. Those children who have an inhaler need to bring it in every session they are in or you need to sign a form saying your child no longer requires it.
Photographer
We will be having the photographer into pre-school on Monday September 26th from 8.30 am. If your child doesn’t normally attend that day or you would like siblings or family members in your photo please book a time with Tamsin or Chris. If you are unable to make that day the photographer will be back on Saturday 1st October, but please book your appointment.
School enrolment
If you haven’t done so already then don’t forget to enroll your child with Central Beds council if they are starting school in September 2012.
