The nights are drawing in now the clocks have gone back, and the weather is getting colder. Please be safe as you move around the village wearing hi visible clothing and keeping to the paths. Be prepared for the weather !Please make sure your child has a coat, wellies, gloves and hat when they come into Pre-School. We will still be going outside come rain or shine. Please make sure all clothing and shoes have the child’s name in them.
Firework NightA big thank you to all parents who kindly donated a prize for our stall at St Mary’s fireworks night on November 5th. Please come along and enjoy a safe organised event. Tickets are on sale from St Marys
Feel Free to BrowseWhen you drop your child off in the morning why not stay for a minute and see what exciting activities we have planned for your child’s day with us. Also please look at the snack board to see what snack has been available to your child that day. The snack board is placed in the entrance hall once snack has finished. We run the digital photo frame in the entrance too so you can see what the children have been doing that week, please have a look.
Health and SafetyPlease make sure your child comes into pre-school wearing sensible shoes. They will be climbing and running during their day at pre-school so slippery soled shoes won’t give them any grip, resulting in them slipping over or down any of the equipment.
Parent & Staff Christmas MealPlease don’t forget to return your Christmas menu with your choice of Parent ConsultationsParent consultations begin Monday 14th November- Thursday 17thNovember. Please see a member of staff to book an appointment convenient for you.
Staff CoverDo you have any spare time? If the answer to this question is ‘yes’ and you would like to help out at pre-school please put your name down to help us in the need of unexpected short notice staff cover
Shoe Box AppealWe are filling and sending our shoe boxes off soon. If you are able to donate anything for our shoeboxes please send them in as soon as possible. Hopefully each group can put together one shoebox that makes a child smile this Christmas.
Who's Here TodayWhen you come into school in the morning please encourage your child to find their name on the board and put it on their group picture. This helps them to recognise their name, and they become familiar to the group they are in.
Sharing InterestsIf your child wishes to share his/her interests, achievements or just something special that they have done or seen, please bring in photos or memorabilia of the event for them to share with their friends at preschool during group time.
Please contact us if:Your child is unwell and is unable to attend their session; this will help us if people are after extra sessions we will then be able to let them know a place is available. If your child is not feeling 100% please think before sending your child in to pre-school. If you do send your child into pre-school, but they have had Calpol in the last 12 hours, please let a member of staff know so we are able to monitor the child in the session.
